Name: Sree Varshini R Title: Loosing Self Control Genre: Epic Poem

In the realm of passions fierce and wild, Where hearts are tested, tempers riled, There lies a shadow, dark and deep, Where many a soul has lost its keep.

'Twas in the land of Thera's might, Where war and love both burned so bright, That Cedric, noble knight renowned, By unforeseen desires was bound.

A warrior strong, in battle bold, His sword of justice never sold, Yet deep within his mighty chest, A tempest stirred, a secret nest.

One eve, as stars above did gleam, A fair maiden by the moonlit stream, With hair like gold, eyes like the sea, Did captivate his soul, made him decree.

In her gaze, a spell was spun, That whispered of a love begun, But Cedric, noble knight of old, Felt his self-control grow cold.

His heart, once firm, now fluttered fast, As passion's flames consumed his past, A whirlwind of emotions deep, That threatened to make him lose his keep.

With every smile, with every sigh, He felt his will begin to die, For in her presence, all control, Was lost beneath a lover's role.

His trusted blade, his shield of might, Now lay forgotten in the night, As Cedric, lost in love's cruel snare, Let go of self, let go of care.

The whispers of the evening breeze, Told tales of love, of promises, And Cedric, once so true and bold, Now found himself in Cupid's hold.

But love, a fickle, untamed thing, Can lead a man to saddle-wing, And Cedric, once a knight of steel, Now felt a wound he could not heal.

The armor of his heart, once strong, Now crumbled like a love-struck song, For in the maiden's tender gaze, He lost himself in passion's maze.

His comrades watched in silent awe, As Cedric broke love's sacred law, For in the quest for self-control, He found himself in passion's hole.

And as the moon sank low and pale, Cedric's fate was set in tale, For love, a force beyond all ken, Had claimed the heart of knightly men.

So in the realm of Thera's might, Where stars above still shine so bright, There lies a lesson, dark and deep, That e'en the bravest souls must keep.

Beware the siren's call, my friend, For love's sweet song can lead to end, Of all you hold, of all you prize, And make you lose in passion's guise.

So let this tale of Cedric's fall, Be a warning to one and all, That self-control, a knight's greatest need, Must never bow to love's wild seed.
